“The Cross shines forth in mystic glow…”

Pausing at the fourteenth station, we meditate on the burial of Christ. Like a grain of wheat buried in the ground, Christ’s death and burial carries with it the promise of new life. This photo, it seemed to me, captured this aspect of the Stations of the Cross, which are suffused with the hope of the resurrection.
