Notre-Dame de Fourvière:Here it is the (i think) must important building at Lyon. As I told you before, this basilica is in a dominating position in the city, as a mark of the triumph of “christian values” over the socialists of the Lyon commune of 1870. As you may imagine… catholicism have a pretty important part in life, history and tourism in Lyon.
The place where nowdays the basilica stands were thousands years ago the Roman forum of Trajan, the forum vetus, thus its name. By that time the city had the famous name Lugdunum…
and I say famous ‘coz that name appears in the famous Final Fantasy saga.
Rekencentrum at Dawn
This picture was taken of the ‘Rekencentrum’ (computer centre) of the University of Groningen wich is named the ‘Zernikeborg’ located at the ‘Zernikecomplex’ in Groningen. Read more about the centre on their website.
The photograph was taken at Dawn in a number of shots which were composed in order to get the full reflection in the photograph because my 16-85mm couldn’t capture it all at once.
